I’m no iPhone fanboy, but iOS5 makes me curious. After all, Android style notifications (which I have enjoyed since my G1 days) are due in the latest release. But if there is one area where I’d like to see Android step up a gear, it’s tablets. My Xoom is not seeing the action it deserves and I would like to see several areas addressed. Fortunately, Android 4, aka Ice Cream Sandwich, looks set to offer a cool set of features that should give the Xoom a new lease of life. And also fragmentation gets addressed, bringing phone and tablet together. My only fear then is that my Nexus S will lose Gingerbread, which is an excellent OS, and the new version will have to work hard to compete.
